Most privacy policies are a long way of saying “we collect everything and you cannot stop us”. This one is short because there is nothing to disclose. OnlyDevs is a static site.
The short version:there is no account, no form, no analytics, and no server that knows who you are. The only data associated with this site is a pretend subscription stored in your browser's localStorage, and it never leaves your device.
What we collect
Nothing. Specifically:
- No names, email addresses, or account details.
- No payment information. There is no payment form.
- No analytics, heatmaps, session recordings, or fingerprinting.
- No advertising pixels, retargeting tags, or “partners”.
- No cookies. Not even the functional kind.
- No server-side database. There is no server-side anything.
What is stored in your browser
When you press a “Subscribe” button, the site stores a single key inlocalStorageto remember that you pretended to subscribe. It looks likeonlydevs:subscribed:<developer-slug>and contains the value1. It is not sent anywhere. You can delete it at any time by clearing site data in your browser. That is the entire data model.
Hosting and logs
The site is served as static files by a hosting provider (Cloudflare Pages). Like any web host, Cloudflare may process standard request metadata — IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp — to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We do not receive, query, or analyse those logs, and we have not added any analytics on top of them. Refer to Cloudflare's privacy documentation for details of its own processing.
Fonts and third parties
Fonts are self-hosted. There are no third-party scripts, embeds, widgets, comment systems, or social login buttons. No request leaves this site for an advertising or analytics domain. The only external link is the contact email address, and only if you click it.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data. There is no data to access, correct, delete, or port. If you would like a copy of everything we hold about you, we can send you an empty file, but it feels like a waste of both our time.
If you are in a jurisdiction with a regulator and would like to complain, we respectfully suggest complaining about something more interesting, such as the state of frontend build tooling.
Children
OnlyDevs is safe for work and suitable for all ages, although the jokes about legacy systems may land better if you have maintained one. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children, because we do not collect data from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, it will be because the site started collecting something, which would be a significant departure from the current architecture. The “last updated” date below will change. There will be no email notification because there are no emails.
